Lame.

There will be plenty of posts going around this week about America’s birthday. They will all talk about parades, and flags, barbeques, vacations, beach bonfires and booze.

I just wanted to share with everyone how pissed I am we can’t shoot off our own fireworks in my town. Or the towns surrounding my town. I miss sparklers.

That’s all – Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend, and spell my name in sparklers for me!

  1. Bummer! We can't do them in our County either. Dont they understand that fireworks is what makes it 4th of July, they're so much fun!

  3. That is lame! They use to have that rule in the state right beside mine so then everyone just started coming over here to buy their fireworks lol.

  4. We can't do them either :( We bought a bunch though, and will probably try to do it illegally. And I will probably end up in jail. Then again, that would probably make for an interesting blog post!

  6. seriously, i don't think there are really very many places you CAN still do fireworks.... legally.... ugh.

so we just swim and bbq all day and watch the firework show at the lake from my parent's backyard.... no clean up. no tickets. i guess it's the next best thing? maybe? i mean, nothing is as cool as writing out words with sparklers.... NOTHING! ;)

  7. I can't believe that they have taken away your right to burn yourself. Here in Ohio, we just go out in the country and do whatever we want. We went to a friend's house yesterday and they were playing with explosives I've never even heard of. Hubby and I left before the squad was called. Fortunately no beer was involved.

  8. Not even sparklers? Oh, that's bad! In the meantime, how many lit cigs are being chucked out of car windows? - G

  9. This is illegal in the Cincinatti neighborhood I was in last Sunday too. Let me tell you, I have never seen/heard more illegal fireworks in my life. Go patriotism.
